What kind of Spray paint do you use?
If your doing touch up, engine painting, or etc, what brand of paint do all of you use? I am trying to find a good brand.
All you can find around here in Dupli-Color stuff, and to be honest, I am not that happy with its performance, it's way too thin, and takes way too many coats to look right, anyone have a favorite?
Could use a decent caliper paint recc. also

Dupli-Color has been proven to do a really nice job time and time again when it comes to engine bay parts and stuff like that. Hell, Mossy (whoposted a DIY on this way back when) even used it to do his sidekirts and front lip, and it turned out great.

Maybe I am just not used to spray painting stuff, but it seems like the Dupli-Color stuff is just so thin its hard to get a good coat, and it takes 8-10 coats to even get propper coverage. I do however love the finish once it is covered correctly, and so far my calipers and drums are solid, and haven't chipped a bit.
I guess I just get in a hurry, lol

ya laying aalot of layers does suck... but its cheap paint... thiers only like what 5oz.... of paint in those cans......... that wouldnt go far at all in a good paint gun
hell when i painted my friends mirror it took me all night! a good 7 hours to paint it thick enough to look decent and used the whole can of paint on it! he thinks it looks great....
id like to buy a gallon of paint to match my ride and gallon of clear... but id also have to buy a new paint gun cause or old one is to dirty and uncleanable! spray is realy crapy!!! basicaly its trash for anything that matters!!!!

I used a different color Dupli-Color engine enamel on the valve cover and manifold, it was the low-gloss black, it coated nicely with fewer coats.
I think the yellow I used on the calipers is just thinner. They even said something on the website about it needing a few extra coats, but boy, once you coat it thick, its bright.
I am itching to paint something with the Krylon Fusion, I keep hearing good things about that. I might paint a small bracket or two just to test it out.
Thanks for the feedback!
