Fuel injection -ODB1 to VW- Possible
Ok, first I have to say, I have very little next to no knowledge of Honda fuel injection / ECU tech how too.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
Adapt a Honda Integra fuel injection harness ( ODB2 )with a converter harness to an ODB1 ECU..this way I can reprogram fuel mapping etc.
To a VW type 4 ( 4 cylinder ) motor.
As for ignition, I plan on utilizing the distributor to fire the plugs.
Regarding the Honda ECU, here's a few question. What sort of chip and or fuel mgt should I use...some have mention I should use Hondadata to program fuel and during a dyno run...then take that info and burn it to a new chip for ECU...
...IS this possible. Also, I was advised that I will need a ' trigger' the a ECU along with an O2 sensor....a BIG question for you experts. Should I just machine off the crank sensor ( part that ECU ) the wheel that ECU use as a reference for TDC , ETC.
Experts....please advise if this is possible and or where I may find assistance for this crazy adaptation -!
Thank you
