Default Fuel Pump Location.

howdy all. this is my 1st post
ok i bought this car. civic taht is.
its a 1983 civic sedan style body.
its a carbed engine.
anyways here is the problem.

the car will not start. it will turn over but no start.
i checked to see if the car is getting any gas. and its not.
i tryed to see if its the fuel pump but i cant seem to find it anywhere.
in the haydens repair book. and i still cant find it.
anyone know what else could be the problem?

i wrote down the some serial code that was on the engine bay firewall on the passenger side. it reads
JHMST343XDS802585
if that makes a difference.

Default RE: Fuel Pump Location.

I think you will have a cam-driven fuel pump on the top of the engine. Also there should bea sight glass in the side of the carb so you can see if there is the proper level of fuel in the bowl.
