Default Replacing ECU

I have a 1997 civic ex manual transmission. trying to replace the ecu but everywhere i go doesnt have the same serial number as mine. mine has the p2p a03. can i use a p2p a01 for it or do i have to have the a03?

Unless it's not a ecu problem. I shorted the ecu to check codes and it stayed solid. When I disconnected the battery and try to start the car it runs for about 30 seconds then throws the code and shuts down. Replaced plugs and wires but it's not getting spark unless I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
