Ok so i just dropped a jd d15b vtec crate motor from a place in washington that imports them and i also got a chipped and socketed p28 ecu with iab's knock sensor and o2 sensor disabled. and damn it was fast up until today. i was mobbin goin about 55 in 3rd and vtec cracked and then i took it up to 7000 rpms and went to shift and suddenly rpms dropped to 0, check engine light came on, oil light also came on. i checked the oil earlier that day and it was perfectly full and still honey color because its only been 6 days since i put the motor in. this time it is very dark and burnt smelling and 1/3 quart low with slight metal shavings in the oil. i also put an aluminum hardtube cold air intake on this same day and that is when i checked the oil and it was honey color. not sure if that had anything to do with it...my guess is probably not. but also there is no spark and i took the distributer off cause we all know how notorious they are for going out and it looked brand new, no flash burn, no corrosion. so my guesses are that the oil pump went out but that doesnt explain the no spark issue. and also i think the distributer coil went out.

so please can somebody tell me what the hell is wrong?

 

What year is your Civic ? There are 2 versions of D15B vtec engines in Japan.
