Compression Test, Typical PSI??
Just wondering what is a new motor, and an average 100,000-150,000 mile motor have on a compression test? I just did mine and they were 151 149 150 150

dont have the specs in front of me, but i think that 170ish is normal for newer honda engines... not completely sure, but i know its close...
does your car have 100-150k miles? if so, thats pretty good that all 4 cyls are that close together..

That sounds about as good as it gets. Most important thing is the percentage difference between the individual cylinders. Mine is significantly lower cause of my 7.5:1 or so compression, but the deviation between the cylinders in my new motor are comparable to yours.

I just flipped 135,000. When I tested it and seen how close they were, I had a feeling that it was a good thing. Thanks for the info. I have looked all over and never could find a straight answer.

My 00 SOHC Civic was hitting 190 psi on cylinders 1, 2 & 4 - 3 had 0... from a cracked exhaust valve... BUT the good news is that sounds normal, especially since they are all the same! Very good sign!
