are those vtec? and 4wd? for real

 

Yeah, they are v-tec, and I was wondering the same thing... 4WD can't mean four wheel drive. I ahve never heard of an all wheel drive Civic. It must mean somehting about the chassis or suspension.

 

so its comparable to a D16Z6 and if so what did it that come out of the crx/del sol or something else. im having trouble i bought a distributor from msd and i order the one that said honda civic 95-97 1.6L VTEC. now i know its not a civic motor but it is a 1.6L VTEC so how do u think i should go about ordering one that will fit. thanks for all the help.

 

the only 4wd civic i ever heard of was the 86-91 wagons, and some even came with a 6 spd

 

You need a 6th gen (96-00) D series dizzy.

 

It think they me they where meaning Front wheel drive.

 

ok i need an aftermarket one cause i have a external coil and i ordered a distributor but it didnt fit and it was for a d series. i need a engine code to compare it to. is it comparable to a D16A6 or a D16Z6.

Not the A6. Thats a 4th gen motor. I am pretty sure any dizzy 92-00 would work, even non-vtec, but If I were ordering I would think the D16Y8 would be the most comparable.

 

whats ESI stand for. i also found a artical about a crx with this motor and it said its not fuel injection but mine is. I am basically trying to find a distributor that will fit this damn phantom of a motor so i can finally get it back from the shop.
