D16A questions
I drive a 93 Civic CX hatch, on which the original motor recently bit the dust. Now, a recent acquaintence replaced that motor with a new one, which he says is a JDM D16 vtec.
On the block it has a D16 stamped, and on the top part (donno what it's called, it's the most visible part of the motor) it says VTEC very plainly. I'm pretty sure it does have vtec, because I can feel some extra high end power.
The problem is that as I'm looking around the interweb, I can't find any two sources that say the same thing about my engine, nor can I find a picture of it.
The engine is all metallic, no red or black paint.
My question is: what the hell do I have under my hood?

And why the hell would someone steal a 93 hatchback?

It's a JDM D16A... If you can find the serial, you can find out what year it is, what it's out of, how much it's making, etc.
