Engine Suddenly Stops While Driving
Yes, this is dangerous. My Civic 2002 LXI Automatic engine stops while I'm driving.
My car has been suffering from this problem this month. I sent it to a mechanic and told me to have it tuned up. So I did his advice. A day later, it happened again. This time he asked me to replace the fuel filter and the crank sensor. He also told me to replace the timing belt because the usage is already 160K. Again, I did his advice. I went to Honda Genuine Parts to buy those items. the car went fine for 6 days and then the problem happened again.
What else could be the problem? Can the hot weather in Dubai affects the car's condition?
One more thing, I noticed that I need to press the accelerator hard so it would run faster. This was not the case for the last 6 months.

RE: Engine Suddenly Stops While Driving
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, the check engine light turns on. I will ask the mechanic to check the fuel pump.
Yesterday night I drove the car again but the problem did not show up. I think the problem has something to do with the weather. When the temperature is around 38 to 40 degrees Celcius and I'm caught up in a traffic for more than 30 minutes, this thing happens.
What do you think I need to check further?
