So i just installed a ractive cold air on my car, and now its starting to squeal everytime i hit the gas. Its just getting real annoying. It kinda sounds like a belt squeal, but its not.

Thats just the noise the intake makes when its sucking up air. You cant do much to stop it.

The piping is basically the same on most intakes. You may get a different sound with a different filter though. I dunno if Ractive has there own filter or what.

its like a squeal or a whinning sound....like a belt squeal.

And its not from the filter, i took it off and it still made the sound. Its just real annoying!

Got a pic? Is it a repetitive noise, or a constant noise? LIke is it squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, or is it "squeek, squeek, squeek, squeek, squeek, squeek"

Its the repetative squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee l . if someone can tell me how to put a music file on here, i could upload one. I personally think that its the piping, cause i know its not the filter. Does anyone else have this type of problem? What kind of intakes does everyone have on here?

DUDE I HAD THAT SAME THING ON MY CIVIC!!! It was driving me nuts. I bought my first one off ebay and it said it was an official injen intake... bs. It made so much noise that I switched to a k & n filter and it quieted down. In the end I was burned out about the whole thing so I bought an injen short ram and it only makes the sound when you shut off the engine but to me I love it because it sounds more like a "phewwww" than a "squeeeek"... Get a new filter or just a whole new kit.
