I left the (-) terminal disconnected overnight, as well as pulled the 15 and 7.5 amp fuses which control as the passthrough for the ECU voltage.

Installed the fuses and connected the battery back this morning. Drove it for a little bit and then pulled codes, which resulted in nothing being displayed.

The TPS was definitely faulty, but may or may not have been a contributing factor to the surge I am experiencing. I will not be able to bleed the coolant system until this weekend, and even then I would like to clean the radiator out as it has a large amount of rust inside.

Any ideas on cleaning the coolant that is left within the block? I know cleaning the radiator is a good step, but I would have to do the cleaning cycle many times to get the rust water from inside the block completely gone.

I might clean the FITV if it is easy enough to do tonight. I found a video write up on youtube and it seems fairly easy and shows a possibility of being done in a night.

Bleeding the cooling system is very easy.

Did you click the FITV link I posted. It's the best DIY I've seen for the FITV.

Just cleaned the FITV. It helped, but only a little bit. The motor is still surging.

I have a video of it, but photobucket wont let me upload the video past 60%. Any ideas?

Also, is the motor below a D15B7? If not, can someone please identify it or tell me how to?

^^That's wrong. sorry. I have replaced mine before. Cut out slots in the rivets and turn them out like screws.
