My Civic is a 2002 Coupe EX. I drove it a lot from 2002-2008, but began working from home in 2008, so stopped driving a lot. I went back to working in an office and commuting and have noticed that my MPG is so low! My gas tank holds 13.2 and I can barely get 350 miles per tank. I do all the recommended maintenance. Whats going on? Most of my driving is on the interstate, I use cruise control, and barely use the AC.

 

do you use the recommended 5w20 oil ??? how many miles are on the car ??? by maintenance do you mean plugs,oil,air filters what about your oxygen sensors your primary oxygen sensor regulates your air/fuel ratio there really only good for 30,000 40,000 miles then get dirty and you loose MPG. read this DIY: forgotten tune-up mods - Honda Civic Forum
