00 si vs 03 si
whats up guys couple of quick things.. last night i raced another 00si with my same mods (cai/e) and beat him by two cars and also a L.S with i/h/e and beat him around the same.. but later on that night i raced a 03 si with the same mods on a first gear 25 roll and he beat me by a car...are thoses cars suppose to b that much faster then my car..or might he have something else down to the car.. "in advance" he popped his hood for me all i saw was a cai and cat-back exhaust...the again it was nice just want to hear some opinions

the 00si supposed to be faster in the 1/4 then the 03 but he can just be a better driver.
His isa K-series engine and yours a b16. Same hp but the K got alil more Tq but you have a better top end since your redline is longer. If you race him again, try V.S him at the top of a 2nd gear roll, and see what will happen, you will slowly pass him.

yeah... if you practice your shifting you might have him.. him having the redline longer def. helps him out.
little things like exhaust or intake or whatever dont rele make as much of a difference as the DRIVER. practice your clutch skills buddy lol

The cars are honestly about even, the 03 has alot better tq curve than you and more peak tq but also more weight. You have alot better gearing though so try to jump on him at around 4500rpm in 3rd gear.

also my friend with a t.c raced the 03si..he has cai/test pipe/ and exhaust... he lost by 2cars...when i lost on the 03si back bumper...ppl suggested that mayb he had lil tricks like accelarated timing/ no power steering...could that make such a difference
