04 Civic Blower/Heater Motor
Hi all,
Have an 04 Civic with a blower motor that stopped working. Now, i unplugged the motor turned the key to the on position and switch in high position......then plugged motor in. the cage spins for a 1/4 turn or so then stops. The motor will spin freely without issue by hand, so no bearing issue. There are 2 wires that lead to the motor.....there is 12 volts at both wires with no fluctuation when moving switch from low to high position.
I'm an "old school" mechanic and apparently am not faring well with newer technology! LOL
Replaced the motor but get the same result.
Anyone who can help?
Thanks!

If you have 12 volts between the two wires at the plug with the motor plugged in, but it doesn't run, the motor must be bad. You can also test the motor out of the car by jumping the two pins to a car battery. It is still an "old school" brush DC motor.
