Default 09 Civic LX Question

Hi guys,

I'm posting this here since this is not a mechanical issue/I didn't see anywhere else that may be better to post it to.

Quick question, so the other day while driving home from work I had the wonderful experience of having my under engine splash guard rip off due to hitting quite the deep puddle.

My question is, since I have zip tied it up quite well (and by quite well I mean it's got not chance of moving or falling off, I figured this was a better idea then ripping it off all together). Will this be an issue when I bring it in for an oil change? Or does the guard not need to be removed for the oil change?

Thank you in advance.

I just never learned to be honest with you.

So just to confirm, I wouldn't need to have the guard under the engine removed to change the oil right?

Thank you.

I don't know about the 09 specifically but on older models the guard didn't go all the way under the engine itself. You can look underneath and see if the drain plug can be reached the way it is now.
