RE: 11sec for d17
i didnt quite understand you... are you saying you cant find bolt on products?? you arent going to get into the 11's with bolt ons...yoru going to need atleast a turbo and NOS, which is a lot of work, seeing as the D17 has a returnless fuel system...gotta fix that. you COULD swap a k20 into that thing. then boost and hit it with some nitrous. but as far as bolt ons, i havent had a hard time finding anything that i need at all. i dont look for jdm. jdm ftl.

Yeah, man that's a tough project. A stock D17 can only handle 200 ish whp, which isn't going to get you 11 seconds. To get power like that, you'll need quite a substantial turbo, and new internals. I've seen 375whp on a D17 before, but I hope you have about 15-20 grand to spend on it. Like My04Civic said, you can also do a K-swap + Nitrous or Turbo. Less of a need for internals on that setup, but the motor is gonna run you 6-8K if you do the work yourself.
Not to say it can't be done, and don't let all that discourage you. Just make sure you know the extent of what you need to do to get an 11 second car. It would probabaly easier/ cheaper with an older Civic IMO.
Good Luck!

My question is how driveable would your car be after spending all that money andputting on all of those race parts? I seriously doubt an 11 sec. 1/4 mi Civic will run anywhere as nice as a stock , or even mildly riced Civic.
