so im 17, looking into a 93 civic sedan on craigslist and was wondering how to tell the difference between ex, lx, and dx. its not posted on the site and its too late to call the guy so i was looking for a quick answer. The picture doesn't show the back of the car so i can't tell from that either. Also anything you know good or bad about 93 civics?

 

from my experience and knowledge, the difference between them all is engine sizes and options, DX usually came with a 5 speed stick shift and an auto optional, but that usually goes for all the civics, the DX also doesn't have power windows. the EX and LX had about 5-10 more HP than the DX and usually had power windows and other options

 

ok so im guessing its an lx or ex because it has a sunroof and power locks and windows, its an automatic also

 

yes than your guess is as good as mine so its either ex or lx.

You would have to see the engine and see if it is VTEC or not. The EX came with the more powerful engine, the LX and DX had the same non-VTEC one. But realize that it is easy to swap in various different engines, so it could be anything.
