Default 1995 honda civic ex VTEC

hey guys i just bought a 1995 honda civic ex with vtec.

my question is.. how come my vtec doesn't kick like everybody else's vtec

for example:

that video is of highly modified civics witha B series engine swap and turbo....
how can you get that power...swap your engine...build it...tune it...

And VTEC should not "kick". It is a smooth engagement.

dohc vtec engagement has alot stronger pull then a sohc vtec engine.

If the engagement is abrupt and you feel it "kick" then something is not right.

The sound of the engagement can be abrupt with nothing being wrong. It can also be loud as f*ck with nothing being wrong.

You just shouldn't be jolted physically when it engages.

LOL I didnt watch video not even wasting my time but wow OP, just WOW, you thought the car in the video was a stock civic? lol Your civic is slow, and will most likely stay that way, takes lots of money to swap/build/tune..

And trust is right, the engine does get super loud in DOHC Vtec, but it doesnt pull like you just hit a nitrous button, search vtec just kicked in yo on google, you will see all the funny pics im too lazy to post.

vtec is not a turbo, it is not for extra power, and it will not put you back in your seat when it engages....
