Yeah 10K can buy you alot, easily a turbo, and enough to beef up your internals for it. That right there would really help your 1/4 mile.

$10,000 - (Rev Hard Turbo Kit + Beefed up internals + high boost + good tuning) = Low 9-second 1/4 mile + MAYBE a little left over cash

Haha, 10 grand... definately. Turbo, nitrous, and a good tune! I bet you could do it with about 7 grand if you play your cards right.

i think 9s is a little low for an ex to hit nines. go look at the times of pro drag racers, not many sohcs in the nines, and theyve spent WAY more than 10k. 12s or 13s though, no problem. a greddy turbo kit on a 95 ex four door i know of runs 14.2 with just a few extra bolt-ons. about 3-4k worth got him to low low 14s.

I've read that the Rev Hard stage 3 turbo kit is common for 9 sec Hondas, and they only cost around $5000. Or they could just be sayin that so that they'll sell better.

yeah, 9 seconds on a street legal car with street tires is near impossible, especially for less than 10g's...

12's or 13's definately!

for half that you could get a nice b series swap with some good head work and a tune... 14's easy.

i think he means streetability more than street legality. trust me, you wont want to drive the clutch you would need in a 9 second car every day, let alone anything else on the car. and they say that because the turbo is capable of getting into the nines, but thats with about 10-15k into the motor build alone. plus the body mods it would take to get a car to the nines. i saw a writup in a mag (its called DSport, its a pretty new drag racing magazine, it has good tech articles, try it out.) on an integra that just hit 9s, and hes running 10.5:1 compression on 26 psi of boost. try doing that on your motor but hes running methanol too, so that helps.
