1997 Civic hatchback headliner replacement
I have a 1997 civic hatchback with a bad headliner. The junkyard has a lot of 96-00 coupes but no hatchbacks. My question is would a headliner from a 96-00 coupe be a direct replacement fit for my 97 hatchback? Are they the same? Would a cope headliner work in my hatchback? Please don't answer with a simple no, please explain if you can.
Thanks

the thing is if you buy an old headliner its going to also start to fall apart. they get old and the glue starts to decay. you need to remove the old headliner and install new material. they sell headliner material at jo-ann fabrics or you can also order it online.

if it has a sunroof it can still be done its just harder to do. all you need is a wire brush to remove the old foam new headliner material and some 3M 90 spray adhesive. its not hard to do just time consuming. i did my headliner in black faux suede.
