2000 honda civic se alarm question

Default 2000 honda civic se alarm question

okay.. .going to get alaram/starter installed in my civic.. the question is does it have the chipped key or something like that... cuz the guy is like, if it has that it would be $50 for the module... i am 99% 2000's don't have it... its only 2001 up that has it.. but i might be wrong.. any1 out there that can help?

i have a 99 and my keys dont have a chip. 2000 are just about the same as 99

You can take it to Homedepot and ask them to check it. They will not make copies of keys with chip in it and they have a tester for that.
