i just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the 2012 honda civic sedan ex vibrating when you go about 40 mph or more you feel it in the gas pedal the harder you push the more you feel it in the gas pedal i just purchase this car any one have any ideas?

 

The later models are drive by wire-- the gas pedal is not mechanically linked to anything. Having a car shake at higher speeds is usually because one of the tires is not fully inflated, out of balance, or not round. (The tires that come with a new car are usually pretty lousy.) This would happen even when you are not pressing the gas.

 

i will check the tires or take it back to the dealership it only does it at higher rpms and you can take the gas pedal sound almost like a rubbing noise and you release the gas pedal it stops i was thinking maybe motor mount or axle but i found out tomorrow evening i have a appt at 10 at the dealership.

 

i got a update honda dealership look at it found nothing they have honda district rep coming down monday it does it at low speeds also but mainly high speeds if cruise is set it only does it when it need to accrelate up hill but they said it isnt the tires check the motor mounts axles transmission motor even check the exhaust system so i guess were see monday
