8th ge.n headrests - adjustable? Other solutions?
Hello all,
My in-laws recently acquired a new 8th gen. Civic - they are Honda lifers!
After a little time with the car, they've realized that the headrests are at an angle that is annoying (at least to front seaters), one that presses on the backs of their heads. They swear that the headrests are not adjustable, and the dealer apparently does not want to work with them to resolve a situation that they find unsatisfactory.
A) Is it true that the headrests are fixed, not adjustable?
B) Have any of you found a way to fix this sort of situation (short of simply removing the headrests)?
C) Have any of you fought with a dealer about this and gotten a good resolution?
TIA for the help!
Justin

They are adjustable in that they slide up and down but they are at an extremely annoying angle. My wife actually pulls hers out and reverses it for long trips so that the angle is pointing backwards and she can at least lay back and sleep. My biggest pet peeve about this car for sure.

My wife pointed this out, but we found if you tilt the seat back one notch or two, it goes away (and we found this while still test-driving). This is a safety issue to prevent whiplash. This car was designed to be very safe. And the seats are overall more comfortable back that notch or two.
The front pillars are annoying sight-wise to some people, but they are part of the crash cage, and are there to keep you alive in a head-on.
Want to live dangerously? Be oblivious in an oversized, overstuffed American SUV. I've seen too many rollovers.
