8th Gen civic uk version

RE: 8th Gen civic uk version
While still shopping, I wrote the sales manager at my dealer, mentioning the European models (not just the Civic, but also the Accord wagon [Tourer?]). Europe evidently has less safety issues but greater enviromental issues with their cars, so they tend to be lighter.
The UK Civic is very cool, but I couldn't tell whether the rear doors were "suicide" by the website. But this manager implied they were indeed less crash resistent.
I saw this past summer, a nearly identical car to mine, except after a closer look, it was an Acura! After some thought, I realised it must be Canadian. Anybody else seen one of these?
