'95 Civic with 230k miles. Worth it?
Hello, I'm new here. But anyway, I'm looking to fix up a civic as a project. I found a 95 Civic for $1700, body is in great shape, but it has 230k miles. Now that's obviously a ton, but I do know that Japanese motors run a lot longer as long as they're well maintained.
Can any of you experienced guys give me some input as to whether it would be alright? Or maybe how many miles they can actually run? I'm not planning on racing or anything like that, basically just exterior modifications.
Edit: Reading another thread it appears the car has 230,000 kilometers, which is 143,000 miles, right? I think I just answered my own thread lol.

Ya I read that mileage really isn't an issue in another thread after I posted this. As far as engine, I'm really not sure. I haven't even went to look at the car yet, just wanted to get a little insight before I drive the 40 miles to check it out.
Not that it would help, but here's the craigslist link for it: http://mansfield.craigslist.org/cto/856788989.html
