Bought it. Picked it up today..chewed the guy down to $1200 once I got there. Everything body-wise is in tremendous shape. He just put new tires and a clutch in like 2 weeks ago. I'll be good as soon as I find a decent engine to put in it.
I'd say I got one hell of a deal in the long run though. I'm pleased to have my first project

Nice... $1200 isn't bad if you really liked it. Now go out and pick up a used d16z6 for $300 and throw her in there!

Was thinking of offering the guy $1200 for the car. It's in great shape aside from the engine..but I could probably get a d15 for $500 or so in my area. Assuming the tires and such are in as good of shape as he says..I think this is a steal. Yes/no?
