o hell ya hes trying to rip your @ss off!!!!!!

BUT if the oil lights been ON for awhile the bearings are probably galled up pretty badly and might be the reason why it wont start up.... it COULD be bound up from a seized bearing. NEVER drive a car with the OIL light ON NEVER!!!!!!! it only takes a few seconds for a motor with no oil to grind to a halt!!!!

but for a starter.... just go used...

but before you buy a starter take it off the car and into a carparts store to have them test it out for free... i bet its fine.... cause your car will not just DIE if the starter goes bad! i asume you ran it outta oil and trashed the bearings.... and if thats the case your starter will work fine and your engine is trashed!

 

OK, so I ended up having it towed and when I tried to start it tonight, it actually started. This means that it's not the starter, correct? I did drive the car when the oil light was on, so worst case scenario...it's the motor, and I'm pretty screwed, right? What do you guys suggest I do? Is it best not to run this at all? Is it best to try to sell it AS IS or fix it up and then try to sell? I'm pretty set on buying a new car and being done with this one for now. Let me know what you guys think. the starter is very high, i have three starters for a d, two alt, four dizzys, almost everything for a d i have in stock. Go to a junkyard and find a starter they are very easy very easy to install and uninstall just make sure you re connect the two wires correctly,if you find a starter pm and ill tell you how to install it
