Default 99 Honda Civic SI question

I have a 1999 Honda Civic SI, Red, w/spoiler, no mods. The cars runs great and the interior is amazing for a 99. However, this car does have a rebuilt salvage title from a front end accident. I am not sure why they even totaled the car because the accident was not that bad. The airbag did not even deploy. Also the car has208,000miles. The previous owner worked at a honda plant and drove an hour back and forth to work everyday, so they are all highway miles. He told me he always had all the maintenance completed as recommended by the owners manual. My question is how much should I ask for this car? How much do you think I can get out of it? I would love to keep the car, but I have a baby on the way and I can't see myself trying to get a car seat in and out of the back seat. Please give me some advise, Kelly Blue Book does not tell you how much a rebuilt salvage title car is worth.

Thanks,
Bryan

you can probably get a want, 6th generation Civics are sought after, and the 99/00 SI's are just about the best Civics ever made.

It's sad to see it go, but look around online for prcies that other people are selling theirs for and then ask about that. I got my '99 DX for $4500 2 years ago, buti would htink you could probably get more from that SI (although it does have alot of miles on it [&:])

Wow, I would be happy to get $5000 out of it. The last car I sold I know I didn't ask enough for, so I want to make sure I don't under price this one. My last car was a 1997 Dodge Avenger with 100,000 miles on it. I put it in the paper for $2000 and I had almost 25 calls on itthe first day. The first person that showed up handed me $2000 cash and drove off with it. I want to be fair, but I don't want to give it away either. Thanks again for the help. By the way, I am in Dayton, OH.

Well I was jsut persuing my local classifieds and noticed a 99 si for sale for 9000. It was in good shape adn had 62k miles to give you an idea. I bought mine with 144k miles, it was originally 8500 I waited the guy out till he was desperate adn talked him down to $6500

the salvage title basically automatically makes the car in "poor" condition on kelly blue book..

$5000-6500 would be fair considering the title issues
