OK i have a 99 civic LX sedan and its automatic, Idk if i should keep it or sell it i dont mind it being automatic but i want to put on a new exhust and a CAI but i herd since its sohc the mods wont do much is this true? Im not looking for a race car just something a little more "zippy" and fun to drive.

Go. A 99' 4 door weighs 100-200 pounds more than 96'-98' coupes and hatchs, and sedans look worse imo. Auto will slow you down too, and is less fun. That's all just from my perspective though.

If you're looking for zippy, I bet you'll love a manual. Get a 5spd coupe, D-series is okay as long as it's turbo'd.
I say go. The next step after an automatic sedan is a mini-van, and there's nothing zippy about either of those.

well sounds to me like you already want to sell it... so id say go for it....
i like my auto just cause thiers only so much shifting you want to do early in the morning or going thru town daily.LOL
but i would like to have a manual civic to play around with.... but if i get a manual i would want a hatch....
thats what i originaly wanted... but i settled with my civic auto for my daily milage driver....

the only problem w/ go is first convincing my parents lol and second lerning how to drive a normal standard I drive manual on my dads STI some times but it has a very short clutch and is quite hard, I would like a 97 si but idk, dose any one have any fealings on how a si clutch compares to subru sti?
