Default adding A/C

Well my 00 DX hatch doesnt have AC in it. I am just wondering if it is possible to get AC in it and how much would it cost? Or is it going to be to absurd to even try it? I was just hoping that there was some part I could buy and mount and it would magically start working.......maybe a little harder then that.

if it was taken out it might now be super hard if it did not have it in the first place then you are looking at a hell of a time on doing it because you would have to have someone professionally install it I believe and trust me it wont be cheap.

i have the full ac setup from my 96 hatch .. was going to sale. but dunno .. might reinstall.. as far as adding it in .. if u have everything you need it just bolts right up.. only thing im not sure of is do you have an AC button on your dash cluster for it if you didnt have it factory? cant remember if my last hatch had the button or not .. but didnt have AC in that hatch.. if you can do install yourself the haynes manual has pretty much full walkthrough of everything.. parts you need are compressor which bolts to bottom of block .. then belt attaches to that.. compressor runs to the fan for ac. and attached to that is the little charge bottle sitting in the hole on the right.. then from the fan piping loops over to the left side of engine bay,,behind battery through fire wall.. it unscrews at the firewall so assume everything inside would already be intact on a non ac equipped car.. but i could be wrong..
