it really doesn't matter what vehicle you drive, if ya don't take care of it, it ain't going to take care of you.

RE: Any GM guys converted in here?
I was born and raised a GM guy.... until I bought a Honda.
My first car was a 1987 Buick Century with a 3 speed auto and a 2.8L V6, (L44: 140 hp, 175 trq). It was my mom's car. The body died before the engine or tranny. Not only did it not die at over 350,000 kms, it made it through 2 teenagers and NEVER broke down. I've never seen a car take such a beating and keep running. By the end, the roof lining had holes in it and it was hanging down into the cab LOL!!!
Next was a 1995 Chev Corsica with a 3100 SFI V6, (L82: 155 hp, 185 trq). I babied the s*** out of that car. My brother drives it now and it has over 300,000 km. It still runs perfectly, (I still love that car).
After that, I bought a 1991 Buick Regal GS 2 door Coupe, 3.8L V6, (Series I 3800: 170 hp, 225 trq), with only 80,000 km's on it. It was in perfect condition and the interior was untouched, but GM has never created a WORSE ABS system than they did for that car. It was the PowerMaster III ABS system, and it was a disaster. A rebuilt unit cost over $1000.00. But it was a lot of fun to drive.
You can see the last two linked to my CarDomain site.
Now I have a '96 Civic Si/Ex with a D16y8. So far, it's the best car I've ever owned. I'd have to think long and hard now before I ever consider buying a GM again... unless it's the Z06 that is.... Now that's a car.

I know hondas are durable as well, im just sayin the general should get more recognition than he gets. i know the engines are old pushrod designs but they yield more horsepower and fuel efficiency than other similar products (C6 LS2) and the new Escalade has an all aluminum VVT pushrod V8 with dispacement on demand. it's just that they have mastered what they know and they know it better than anyone.
