my girlfriend never wanted to learn stick, but i somehow changed her mind and i taught her, and now she prefers it over auto.

RE: auto civics
I agree that a girl driving a stick is pretty hot. my old girlfriend used to be able to drive the hell out of her dad's corrola. but there is nothing wrong with an automatic. some people say automatics are for pussies, but i would love for them to stop being an E-thug and say that to my face. all in all, i like my civic and i don't let the fact that it's an auto change my mind of it. especially considering i llive in Labrador where we have 6 month winters with hard packed snow covering 90% of the roads. we don't use salt, we use sand. I think for my climate i would like to stick with an auto.

RE: auto civics
I love my auto civic.
There is so much traffic in my area and I do so much daily driving on the same routes (school and 2 jobs), that shifting up and down just doesn't seem appealing to me. I'm not into racing either.
Oh, and I know it's bad, but I often answer my phone, mess with music, and eat while driving and having to shift would probably just complicate things as far as that goes.
In the end it's all personal preference though. A civic is a civic, they're all great IMO

If its her first car I would stick with an Auto. After a couple of years, she may want to learn and drive a stick. I would rather drive a stick and I am a girl. But I multi task WAY too much do deal with shifting. Better to stick with something simple to start out with.... My thought.
