bad milage

Unhappy bad milage

i have 2007 honda civic, I have done all services regularly at honda, now I am getting 14 mpg in city, i am wondering what went wrong, previously I used to get between 19 to 22 any suggestions greatly appreciated, I have done 40000 miles on it till now

Does the temperature gauge still come up to its normal level of about halfway? If the engine does not warm up properly (bad thermostat) gas mileage will be reduced.

Have you looked at your spark plugs to see if they are clean?

Temperature qauge is normal, the pickup is also as it was before
