yeah if you made it 23 miles without an alternator belt you did dang good but if you get a battery id suggest kinetik cheaper than optima and more reserve in the same size case

just be sure to have the autoparts store check out your alternator at the same time when you get the new battery in... just make sure its charging good, otherwise it can damage the new battery. it doesnt take to much time to have it checked, they just pull out there cart and hook up some wires to your car and have you start it up and hold the gas pedal down alittle.

i had it checked when i had the battery checked and they said it was good
