Boosting a stock EX

RE: Boosting a stock EX
No one here is going to pay for your engine when it blows, so do your homework well and be sure you are getting A's before just doing it.
I went through 2 motors within 6 months running 9psi and 205WHP before breaking open the piggy bank and doing it the right way. My mistake was to listen to others that I thought knew what they were talking about.
The D16Y8 is an awesome engine, but it was never designed to do what some of us have done and others are planning to do to it. The weakest part of the D16 is the ring land on the piston (the part of the piston between the ring grooves). In most cases this is the first thing to go under boost. If you are saving your pennys to go turbo, play it safe and keep the numbers down. If money is flowing out of your piggy bank then spend a few bucks more and get the bottom end built up to handle the numbers.
Either way you go be sure to get it tuned by someone that knows what they are doing.
240WHP with normal boost
275WHP with secondary boost engaged
