Default Breather tube

Mmk, so I've been looking it to make my engine look nice, get a little bit of color to it. So I was planing on putting new silicone hoses all around. Now when I put my short ram on, I had a problem putting the hose from the VC to the intake. In stead of the hose being able to go straight across, from the VC there's a small tube, then it goes in to a metal tube. To get the metal tube to connect with my intake I had to loop the silicone tube provided underneath the intake and to the top since the metal tube stuck out too far. Pics below. Is there anything I can do about that metal tube? It looks like it is welded with the one next to it but I'd love to have it out of there. Any suggestions or whatever is aprreciated Thanks.

i cant see the pic (my computers wierd lately)
but from the explanation i believe i know what your talking about and when i put my SRI on i just bypassed that metal tube and put the hose straight from the vc to the intake,
but i couldn't figure out how to get the metal tube off cuz it was welded. I thought about just cutting it off but never did cuz i sold the car and the rex doesnt have those 2 stupid metal hoses

Breather filter, plug the hole in the intake, use the tubing that came with the intake to replace the second hose, eliminating the metal piece entirely.

Haha, it looked better once I took the GC sticker off the strut brace and finished replacing the blue loom with black

The next EG will be a lot cleaner.

Okay I got the part of buying a breather filter, I'm heading to Advanced Auto this weekend for a new intake filter so I'll grab one then. And then I get that you plug the hole on the intake, but what is the use of the hose it comes with then? Both holes are already plugged by what you have said so I wouldn't need it.

you take out both of the metal pipes that are welded together and replace them with the hose that was supplied to connect the VC and the SRI

Yup, just watch out, there's going to be coolant in the second hose (the one that goes from somewhere (can't remember where. The block maybe?) to the intake manifold, so be prepared for it lol
