Default Buying civic, first timer, have some questions.

I am going to buy a Civic CX in like 2 days, possibly tomorrow, and it is in great condition, but the previous owner didn't upgrade it at all, but it has potential, (don't all civics?!).
I know that I want it to sound cool, but I dont want to spend a ton of cash on the exhaust, but if you could give me some ideas, so I can check some different products out. also I want to get some new wheels, but I'm guessing that will just be personal preference, but when it comes to exhaust I honestly know nothing. Am I replacing the whole pipe, or is it just the end? I dont know.
Thanks for the help, and please bare with me, I am new to this.If you have any other things I can do to it to make it better also that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!

First of all, Welcome to HCF! If you want your car to only sound cool, you could easily buy a fart can. Or you could easily go and buy a performance exhaust that will increase performance a little bit and make it sound alot better as well.

for wheels: 15" good performance, really nice ride

16" good balance of ride/looks

17" ride starts to suffer alot. Its alot rougher, but they look nice

18"+ dont belong on Civics IMO

and all of those wheels deserve a drop. Atleast some lowering springs, if not shocks.

thanks for the fast replies, and thanks for the welcome. Iwould liketo increast performance, but I will not be street racing for cash and such. thanks for the wheel info too. You have any brand names to go with, because I have no idea where to start looking when it comes to wheels or the exhaust. thanks alot guys!

welcome..... and for the exaust id say go to www.youtube.com search for CIVIC and listen to some exaust systems... thiers TONS of videos and sound clips on thier of all different kinds of systems. that will give you a great idea of what you like the sound and price of......
same with rims as previous poster. buy what you like the looks of..... if you have ruff roads in your area id say go with some 15s or 16s.
the larger you go the ruffer the ride will be BUT it looks so much beter

but its realy split... 15-16s for most racers... 16-17s are for stylen
