Buying a new '07 civic...need advice!
I'm about to purchase a new 2007 Civic and wanted to know if anyone has tried to add an aftermarket radio to the newest gen Civic. I've done many installs in the pastbut the factory dash & radio appear to be a little harder to deal with than the old dashes that had simple rectangular holes in them. Does anyone know of a factory replacement bezel to replace a stock radio in an 2006-07 Civic? I'm also wanting to install a Sirius radio in it not XM. I know that XM is part of the Navigation package which I am NOT getting. Just wondering if anyone has the XM setup and had info on the Antenna that comes with it. I would prefer to use the factory antenna as it looks cleaner.
Any help here would be appreciated.

ok metra makes a dash kit that looks horrible the contours dont line up so dont mess with it, if you want to go aftermarket, buy the honda nav dashkit from thte dealership (it is a double din opening) so you can either buy a double din screen or you might possibly be able to by a metra 7898 kit (that is the generic honda kit from 85-00 or something) which MIGHT snap in and then you would have a din opeing. if you do the second option let me know if it wo rks.

Thanks for that tip. However I was hoping that there would be a way to use the factory radio that is XM ready but use a Sirius tuner instead. Has anyone tried this?

i really dont think it would work out either. i would personally just go ahead and stick with XM. if u go ahead and install sirius and it messes up something in the honda, wouldnt that void the warranty?
since u just got the car i would really play it safe. i tried installing an alarm on my 07 civic and it didnt work out at all, thank goodness it was covered and honda was able to return everything back to normal. lesson well learned.
