hey guys, i have a 99 civic dx without a/c. i was wondering how i would go about putting a/c in the car. i called a shop and they wanted to charge me $1500 to do it!!

you would have to get all the parts like hardlines...compressor, bracket and relays fuses, wiring and you would have to tear the better part of your dash out to put in the switch that you will also need. personally, id just pay it and be done...unless you really know what your doing...i wouldnt even deal with the headache of trying to source parts and run hardlines, charge the system...and all that crap. btw: 1500 doesnt sound all that high to me if you think of parts and labor that are going to be needed.

 

yea that is a big project, that is one of those things I would rather pay and have it be over. Plus you get a warranty
