Default Can anyone give me a hp estimate?

I was just wondering what my mini-me swap with some few mods is gonna run. Can anyone give me an idea?

95 cx hatch...
- d15b8 block
- z6 head
- z6 intake manifold
- y8 head gasket (middle section removed)
- cold air intake
- 4-2-1 header
- no cat
- 2.5" exhaust from header back
- 5" resonator
- NGK plugs

Tough to say... but a rough estimate:

Z6 Mini-me + y8 head gasket with middle layer removed = ~130 (crank)
+ 3-4Hp for the CAI
+ 2Hp for teh header
+ 2 for no cat
and - 2-3 for having an exhuast that is too big
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

137Hp to the crank - ~15% for drivetrain loss = a grand total of

117Whp

Why do you say a 15% drivetrain loss? What causes that?

All cars have drivetrain loss, its the horsepower that is eaten up gettin the wheels turning.
You still have the 137hp at the crank, but 117 wheel hp.

I guess that makes sense... lol. Thats much better than the stock.. 70? hp that the cx had. That exhaust was on the car when I got it, and I'm definitely putting new piping on this summer. If I use a high flow cat what size should I run... 2.25? or smaller?

2.25 id say, thats what ive got and its nice. Or keep the 2.5 exhaust and turbo your motor.

turbo... that'd be nice I might be able to afford it if I didnt blow my damn head gasket... lol. But it'll all come together in the end... I got my car started last night after the swap, and damn it's loud. would 2.25 make it quieter? I dont mind the loudness, just want to see what would happen with smaller piping.

Yeah it would be quieter, but it still depends on the construction and quality of the rest of the exhaust components (backbox, centre section etc) Ive heard some 2.5" exhausts on other cars and they are neither as loud or as deep as mine sounds.

did it turn out to be that ground wire? or was it something else? yea as far as piping goes, i've heard its better to do 2.25 if you're going n/a and 2.5 if turboed.
