can a civic beat a supra

RE: can a civic beat a supra
can you ask a more general question?
ha dont worry about it though... stock? pretty much no, especially if the supra was the stock turbo
but on the other hand, if you have a turbo'd civic versus a stock turbo supra? I'd say the civic has a chance if their internals were built at all... but if the supra had any aftermarket support i'd give it to the supra pretty much hands down... V6 with rear wheel drive the 98 turbo'd ones had 320 horsepower stock... i mean come on the civic would have to be so built and @ like 20 psi
the first gen turbo only has 230... so a turbo'd civic would have a chance against that i guess... i mean either way you cut it you're going to have to put way more money into the civic to have it beat a supra, because supra's have bigger engines to power bigger turbos, and they have rear wheel drive so they have way more torque off the line
bottom line its just a losing battle

Well Hell - I'll just jump in here and say with authority that a Nextel Cup road course-prepped car will smoke the livin' whale **** out of a Supra. And it's not even turbo'd or bottle-fed. Geez - it's running an old school carburetor, for that matter. Now, I don't have one to line up against your imaginary Supra, but I don't have to because we're talkin' smack over the internet.
Gawd - I just realized how stupid this sounds - bench-racing with imaginary cars over the internet. Takes me right back to my pre-teens thinking how much cooler my modified '77 Trans Am plastic model would be than my neighbors real '80 Corvette - if mine was real, that is.
