It's in the manifold in the front.

Yes it can. Air leaking in through the crack causes erroneous readings from the first oxygen sensor, leading the computer to incorrectly set the fuel mixture.

Depending on your model year, Honda has replaced quite a few of those manifolds for free even though they were out of warranty.
