do it...the D16y8 is only like 90 sum horse at the wheel before all your mods and you are probably looking somewhere in the 120 range now. The B18c offers alot more parts, potential, and a hell of alot more durabilaty. As long as you are getting one that runs good and getting all the stuff you need to swap I would do it in a heartbeat. Yeah your uncle is getting an already modded motor...but you are getting a stock motor with more horse and a hell of alot more torque.

To the OP: the swap is up to you but stop typing in all caps, it makes it harder to read.

Unless you've also got a miserly moto to ride, I'd stick with a low-mile D16Y8. It's got enough power to scoot a Civic pretty well at anything resembling legal, and GAS ISN'T LIKELY TO GET MUCH CHEAPER IN THE FUTURE.

forget the gas milage it wont be that different....and besides if you are worried about gas milage you dont do modes to you civic....you might as well go buy a metro if gas milage is on your mind....but if you want better performance and a load of options to upgrade with...take the swap....the only killer for the swap would be if the b18 had alot of miles and was rode hard and put away wet. another thing....do you have some one that can do the swap or can you do it yourself? cause i would look into the cost of that if money is an issue.
