Help!!! I need to carfax a car. Thinking of purchasing a 99 civic with 59,800 miles on it for $3500. Body's decent. Anyways, it has a salvaged title. Does anyonone think that I shouldn't get this car. It's on carfax just no mo ney and the car seems to be in good shape. Please help!!

eatingfear, Welcome to HCF. Hope your not here just get a carfax report then roll out, please stick around and post about what you know about. Other then that, if the civic is in decent shape all around and runs fairly well then I think your getting a hell of a deal. I would, however, make sure the frame rails and strut tower's are still straight since it does have a salvage title.

2000 EX. I purchased carfax for a month. I only have about a week left. I will run your carfax for you. List your VIN # and I'll hook you up

 

So what should I check for on the civic? Since it has a salvage what should I look for. I found some oil under the engine under the front. So the passenger side. It also has a constant tick. The miles are low and suppsidly it wa **** in the back.. I looked at the frame and the strut towers but I don't really know how to tell. Any help? Thanx!
