Just to pass on some info to anyone who may be having trouble with an 04/05 Civic diesel, a few months ago i posted on this website a problem i had with my Civic losing power, especially after starting from cold. The Honda dealership could find nothing wrong. A few weeks later, the problem occured again, only this time i had driven 150 miles! I took it back to the dealer, who again could find nothing wrong and nothing on the diagnostics. The problem reoccured a few more times over the next few weeks, culminating in me nearly having a head on smash after i lost power while trying to overtake. The next day the car went back to the dealer, who again could find nothing wrong. I refused to take the car back, citing concerns over my safety following the near head on collision. The chap who was dealing with me went off and returned a couple of minutes later clutching a Service Bulletin stating a problem with the turbo's on2004/2005 Civic Diesels. The car was taken in a couple of days later and the turbo replaced free of charge, despite the carbeing out of warranty. Be advised, if you're having similarproblems with your Civic diesel, there is a service bulletin relating to this.Honda wouldn't give me a copy of it, nor is there anything posted ontheir UK website.
