Civic 1992 1.5L
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this.
I currently own a Civic 1992 model 1.5L engine.
I wish to know how possible it is for me to install a V-TEC engine and some advice about it.
Thanks a lot,
Sarah

Yes its possible
its called a "mini me swap" Go on google and read about it. its very famous. its when you take a D16z6 or D16y8 SOHC VTEC head swapped onto a D15b7 block (d15 is your engine).
You need the d16 ECU, fuel rails, injectors and the intake manifold.
You would also need a vtec controller

You can also put a whole D16Z6 engine in, this gives you a little more power because if you just do a mini-me you still have a 1500cc engine, though it is VTEC. The "EX" version was supplied with the D16Z6 as stock.

The intake manifold is recommended because it is better and has larger runners.
You don't need a VTEC controller. The ECU will allow VTEC to work, as long as you run the VTEC wire and the oil pressure switch wire from the ECU to the VTEC solenoid.
