I got my 93 civic 4-5 years ago with about 180k for $2000,I got it completely stock in great condition. So if it's mint, then that's a okay price. Right now I'm at 235k and still running like it's new.

 

My 94 EX is currently at 165K and running like a champ. If it was taken care of and well maintained it should be fine just check it out good before you buy it.[sm=smiley20.gif]

 

I know somone that had a EK Civic 5 Speed that was at 279,000 miles, and while the paint job was dead, the car was very much alive!

 

Yeah i got a 96 EX coupe with 187k miles on it, and i have no problems with it. Timing belt does need replaced quite every once in a while, which is a pain in the ***, but its worth it if you want to keep the ride running. I bought the car at 184k, and i know the previous owner took care of it because i was good friends with him, and actually helped him work on the car when he owned it. But yeah, i would say it's worth it if you want to buy that civic. The will last forever if you give them the proper maintenance they need. But still, see if you can talk him down a little. Maybe offer him $1700 and see what he says...

 

For $2000 I guess it's all right, it's not a steal or anything though. You should be able to hit 200K if it was well maintained though.

all you gotta do is change your oil often, and remember your stock 4 banger isn't a hot-rod!!
