Thanks but it is a 90 meaning obd 0 also meaning that codes are read off the ecu under passenger side displaying a blinking light as to what the issue is. All I did was a clutch job and it is saying Map sensor for like both codes mean that. Code 3 MAP sensor or circuit electrical fault and Code 5 is MAP Sensor mechanical fault, As to why it would all of a sudden go out confuses me and maybe there was another issue but the rpm tach does not work when running either

Ok figured out code 3 and there was a vacuum leak at the purge place and I sealed it, now I am wondering about not having the rpm tach working, is that due to the vss ?

The MAP sensor is mounted on the firewall, make sure the plug is on securely, the vacuum hose is connected OK and there are no vacuum leaks.

The tach works off of a wire from the distributor, the small wire in the two pin plug. If that seems OK take the distributor apart and follow the wire all the way back to the ICM module inside.

Ok thanks will check for that wire off the distributor to make sure it is plugged in correctly. Thanks for the help but she at least runs now and finally good to drive after being down.

My 90 hatch had the tach quit too. I took off the Dizzy cap, and cleaned it with WD40. Made sure the metal was nice and shiny, and put it all back on when all was dry. Worked perfectly.
