post a tutorial in the DIY on how to install a short ram intake. im sure its pretty easy, but are their any problems i might run across. i have a stock 96 dx and i was wondering how easy it was to do. i heard it is really easy, and it looks easy to do but i would appreciate any pointers on making it easier. thanks

RE: could someone
First off, remove the negative terminal of the battery. Then remove the stock airbox/piping, remove the vaccum sensor (hose) and the grommet with the air temp sensor in it. Now there should be the vaccum hose and the grommet hanging along with the throttle body completely exposed. Put the new intake pipe on the throttle body, put a rubber coupler over it and tighten down a clamp around the throttle body. Install the grommet in the hole on the new intake (that should be there) and put the new hose on the nipple of the intake. Put the filter on the end of the new intake and tighten it down with a clamp. Reattach the battery terminal (the ECU should now be reset) and you should be good to go.
For real, somebody needs to just do a DIY on this lol its the simplest installs around but it seems like alot of ppl ask about it

same here. thanks for that DIY. I probably would not have known to disconnect the battery terminal or reset the ECU. in fact, I'm not really sure how to do that. the rest of it I could probably get by with.
oh, and I would have to do the VTEC breather as well, right? rancidgore would not because he's got the DX SOHC.
