Default crankcase bolt

Do anyone of you know the direction in which to remove the crankcase bolt on a 1984 honda civic?. I am trying to replace the water pump and the crankcase bolt does not want to come out. I tried using an electric impact wrench, and an air impact as well. I even applied heat to the bolt and it still doesn't want to come out. I have been trying to trun it counterclockwise, and I am affraid that if I continue it will break. At this point I don't want to force it anymore until I am sure of the correct direction.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Default RE: crankcase bolt

your turning the right way man, you wont break it, youll break your tools. this is one of the biggest problems people have encountered in a honda motor, just keep going at it, you might have to put the air impact on it for multiple minutes, youll snap breaker bars, so dont even waste your time there.
